Onsite dialysis is a growing concept in which dialysis providers and Skilled Nursing Facility, like Westlake Convalescent Hospital, are partnering to offer Skilled Nursing Facility patients requiring dialysis with onsite treatments in the Skilled Nursing Facility they reside.
Westlake Convalescent Hospital now offers onsite hemodialysis service to subacute patients whose kidneys can no longer support the body’s needs.
Benefits of OnSite Hemodialysis
Onsite hemodialysis eliminates the need for transportation to off-site dialysis treatments, usually at least three times per week.
For patients who may not be able to tolerate abrupt hemodynamic changes often associated with conventional hemodialysis three times per week, onsite hemodialysis offers individualized treatment options, including more frequent therapy when medically necessary.
